A message from the artist, Leslie Harlow...."The cragged Maine coast is rimmed with spruce trees which is the inspiration for this piece. The beauty of these trees is that they are shaped by time and weather, how their root structure oftentimes rests just above the ground or along the coastal rocks and how the gnarly limbs hang off of the branches. I am in awe of these natural wonders whenever I look at them."
